How long will it take for a contractor to arrive?

Contractors will reply with their estimated time of arrival. You, the customer, may request a specific time frame. The system is designed to give you a prompt same day response, but the time frame may be impacted by several variables including but not limited to; number of available contractors in your area with the skillset for the job requested, traffic, weather, time of day and current location of contractor assigned the job.

Can I tip a contractor?

You are welcome to tip any contractor as you see fit, for a job well done. Your subscription covers the cost of labor.

Will contractor perform more than one task during the same visit?

Contractors accept jobs based on their skillset, proximity and availability to complete a specific job. Please include all information regarding your job(s) in your original request. Add-ons once the contractor has arrived will be deducted from your time bank at a higher rate. If you choose to compensate a contractor directly for additional work

What is a time bank?

Your subscription payment buys credits of time. Use of contractor services is deducted from this time credit or “time bank”.

How long will my job take?

Each job and contractor are unique and time to complete can vary. Check our “average time per job” page for estimates, but these are only averages for you to utilize as a guideline only. If you feel your job time seemed excessive, please contact our customer service department and leave feedback at checkout.

Do I need to be home during the time the contractor is completing the job?

Customers should be home during the contractors visit. A responsible party over the age of 18, must be present at the start and completion of any contractor visit.

What if I am unhappy with a contractor or service?

QwikFix strives to have the best quality contractors handle your service. We do understand that sometimes the work does not meet expectations, and we value your reviews and feedback. QwikFix will strive to rectify the problem at the time of visit or correct any issues according to our customer service guidelines. Your satisfaction is our goal.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions may be cancelled provided you have paid for the utilized time on your time bank statement. You may be charged a premium for overutilization of time bank credits. There are no credits for unused time.

Do I choose my contractor?

QwikFix has prescreened and chosen our service providers based on a thorough review and background check. Contractors are assigned jobs based on their skillset and proximity to your location.

What if I cancel prior/after my contractor arrives?

All cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee in the form of a deduction from your time bank equivalent to from 25-75% of the estimated job time (based on our “average time per job” scale)

Are there additional costs to me?

Your QwikFix subscription pays for the labor costs for any job or task. You, the customer, are responsible for any fixtures, parts, hardware and supplies required to complete a job. You may request, prior to arrival of the contractor, for specific items to be supplied by the contractor. The customer will be billed for these supplies in addition to a deduction from their time bank for the contractor’s time in obtaining these items.

What if supplies/parts are required during a job?

If additional supplies, hardware or parts are required during a job the customer may; 1. reschedule the completion of the job at a premium deduction from their time bank. 2. Utilize their time bank for the time it takes a contractor to get the supplies. (if contractor is willing and able to provide this service) 3. Provide the items by having them delivered to the worksite while contractor waits or continues to work on other aspects of the job. (time bank clock will continue to run during this time)

Can I upgrade/add time to my existing plan?

Customers may upgrade their plan for any current plan year by paying for the upgraded plan level in full, or retroactively paying the monthly difference in the plan level. Customers may add additional time to their plan by purchasing individual hours during their plan year.

What if I do not utilize all plan time during my plan year?

Unused plan time may be rolled forward to the following plan year at the time of renewal at a rate of 50% of unused time. There are no credits or refunds for unused plan time if cancelled.

What if a current job exceeds my available time?

Customers may upgrade or buy hours as stated in “Can I upgrade/add time to my plan?”

Can I hire a contractor for other/additional jobs directly?

QwikFix contractors are independent and therefor any transactions outside of the scope of our customer/contractor agreements will not be covered or credited through your time bank. We recommend customers utilize their time bank credits for covered services, as this is typically the “best value”. Larger jobs outside of our service model can be booked through QwikFix, typically at a discount to the customer due to our relationships with the service providers.

How are job times calculated?

For each job, the contractor will “check in” through our mobile app at the time they arrive at your location and take a picture of the requested work. You, the customer will then also confirm arrival of the contractor. Upon completion of the job or task, the contractor will take a picture of the completed work and you the customer will confirm its completion. Each job and contractor are unique and time to complete can vary. Check our “average time per job” page for estimates, but these are only averages for you to utilize as a guideline only.

Can I buy a subscription as a gift?

QwikFix subscriptions make an excellent gift for family members and friends. You can purchase a gift subscription through our website, mobile app or by contacting our customer service representatives.

What payment methods do you accept?

QwikFix accepts all major credit cards, ACH transactions, checks and electronic transfers (PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, and others)

Can I pay my subscription in full rather than monthly?

Although a benefit of QwikFix is the ability to spread your repair and maintenance costs over time through our monthly payment plan, we will credit your time bank with an additional 10-20% (based on subscription level) of time value for full payment

What if I have a big job, not covered under the plan?

QwikFix has contractors that can handle any job you may have. We are happy to refer and book your job with one of our premiere contractors (many times at a reduced cost to directly hiring a contractor)

How do I renew my subscription?

QwikFix subscriptions are set to auto-renew at the existing level. If you would like to upgrade or downgrade your subscription level, please contact our customer service department for help.

Can I have more than one property on my account?

Yes, please see our page for multiple property owners/landlords/commercial accounts.

What steps will be taken to protect my property?

QwikFix has professional contractors who take the utmost care and pride in their work. Each service provider is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work area during and after the job is completed.

How will disagreements be settled?

Our contractors are professionals and will work to avoid any disagreements. In the event an issue cannot be satisfactorily settled with the contractor at the time of service, please contact our customer service representatives directly at………………………………………………………
